Hi,
in the script window the menu bar (Commands: "File(Text)" "Edit" "Hide") disappeared. (reason unknown...) Does anybody know how to make it appear again?
(Nevertheless, I can copy-and-paste my script from a text editor into the script window. It works out,i.e. Origin does execute the script, but the "File(Text)" option is nice to have: open & save directly.)
Does anybody know about this?

Wow, never heard of that. You might be able to reinitialize the script window like this...
1. Close Origin. 2. Open Origin.ini in Notepad. 3. Find the [WinPos] section and delete or comment the ScriptWindow key. 4. Save Origin.ini and restart Origin.

Hi Mike, thank you for your kind support.
Well i agree that this menu-bar-disappearing does sound exceptionally.
I did as you suggested but it didn't solve the problem.
As fas as understand this [WinPos], the "ScriptWindow=640 297 1135 697" cmd simply assigns the position of the upper left and lower right corner of the window.
In my case the whole menu bar disappeared. It keeps disappeared no matter of the size of the script window.
Somehow impressed, thanks again for your support, reg Hannes |

Check the default printer. We recently installed a HP P2015 PCL 6 printer driver on winxp sp2 and the menus dissapeared or stopped working for versions 7.0 and below. When some other printer is chosen as the default printer menus started to work normally. |

WOW!
Dear Mike, dear tmrt,
well, indeed I have had a *HP P2015 PCL 6 printer* installed as default, and indeed I have also *WinXP,SP2*.
In my case, it was a little bit different but it might sound familiar to you: Last week I changed the default printer from this one to another one.
Now I changed back to *HP P2015 PCL 6 printer* installed as default... and -wow- there's the menu bar again!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR KIND SUPPORT!!
