Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): (ProSR1
Operating System:

In order to generate a surface plot I applied on my x,y,z columns a Renka-Cline gridding (random). The scales of the resulting graph corresponds to the x and y input values whereas the z-axis is scaled from 0 to 16000 instead of the expected scale from 0.5 to 20 (this is the range of z column data).
How can I scale my z-axis along with my input z-values?

Hi Carsten,

Perhaps the Renka-Cline method did not do a good job with the gridding and the surface generated does not match your data? Did you try other gridding methods? What version of Origin do you have? In version 8.0, there is a new method called Thin Plate Spline (TPS) that can follow the data much closer - it also has a smoothing parameter and if smoothing is off the surface is forced to go thru all data points.
