Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin): 8
Operating System: xp

Hello,

Could someone explain to me what are all the different ways to build graphical user-interfaces in Origin C?
I am using GETN Macros to create simple dialogs but I want to build more complicated interfaces.
How can I do ?

Regards,
Pierre.

Hi Pieeremx,

In Origin 8, we recommend building GUI with X-Functions. You can refer to the Programming help file in SR1:
>X-Function Programming >Practical Examples > Creating X-Function dialogs

Hi Deanna,

Before to buy Origin 8, I have downloaded a free evaluation copy of Origin 7.5 pro. I the sample directory of Origin 7.5 (\User Interface Development\Dialog Builder) I find it is possible to design GUI in Visual C++ (v.6), build a .dll and use-it in Origin !
Can I still use this solution to build graphical user-interfaces ?
Where can I found more samples ?

Regards,
Pierre.

For example, how can I "design" a Datetimepicker control with X-Functions ?

Pierre.
