I am trying to teach myself how to automate Origin a bit so that my supervisor can do some fitting without having to learn how to use Origin. So far this is going okay. I have one question that has me stumped though. When I perform a nlsf using a user defined function a column is added with the nlsf y values for the plot. If I then perform the fit again a new column and curve is added to the plot (after many such fits they tend to build up) is there a way in the "before fit" script to remove the old column and hence plot before the new one is started.
In the "Before Fit" script, you can use LabTalk scripts to remove a data plot from a graph or a column from a worksheet.
To remove a data plot from graph:
layer -e dataset;
To remove a column from a worksheet:
delete dataset;
Therefore, you have to know the "dataset" of the curve and the column which you want to delete. Then you can use the above commands in the "Before Fit" tab of the NLSF dialog.
