Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin):
OriginPro 8 SR1 v8.0773 (B773)
Operating System: WinXP SP2 Rus

Hi All!
I set some values to column by menu "Set Column Values..." and choose "Recalculate None".
After that I change some values in this Column manually.
But if I change some properties of Column (Plot Designation, Format, Units, Commens) the values of Column are recalculated.
Why??? When I assigned formula I used "Recalculate None"!
Thanks.

Maybe there is some detail missing from this post. Could you go over the exact steps needed to reproduce this problem?

Hi!
My problem step by step description.
1. Click on column name (select whole column)
2. Rigt-click at the same place. The pop-up menu will apper.
3. Choose "Set column values...". The window of Set Values will appear.
4. Type in field for formula any formula (for example, "i*3.1415926")
5. Choose in drop-down list "Recalculate"-"None"
6. Click OK.
7. In this column change one cell manuallu (for example, in row #5 "15.707963"->"2.718281828")
8. Double-click on column name. The window of Column Properties will appear.
9. Change Short Name property (for example, "B"->"qwerty")
10. Click OK.
11. Look at row #5. Why here is "15.707963" instead of "2.718281828"?
Thanks.

Hi Alexey,

I can reproduce your result in 8SR1. In SR1 the column properties dialog shows the column formula and when you click OK it is applied again even though you had set recalculate to none.

In the upcoming SR2 release, we have removed the display of the formula in the col properties dialog (for other reasons...), and I tried in internal build and this problem does not exist any more. A free SR2 patch should be available within a month's time.
