Hi All:

We recently found that some users reported that after checking for update, some dialog doesn't work properly. We apologize about that. This problem must have occurred because our QA team was likely testing Check for Updates and patch retrieval. Unfortunately this must have happened at the same time that you ran Check for Updates. Then you got an in-house build, B860.

Before reporting any bugs, please make sure that your are running a released build. The two Origin 8.0 builds we released are B725(SR0) and B773(SR1). You can see the build number from Help --> About Origin.

If you are running B860 or any other in-house builds, please restore to SR1 as follows:

1) Please close Origin if it is running.

2) Click the Windows Start button and select Programs | OriginLab | Origin(Pro) 8 | Origin(Pro) 8 Add or Remove Files. This starts the InstallShield wizard.

3) Select the REPAIR radio button and click Next.

4) Complete the Repair process, clicking Finish when done.

Now your Origin is back to SR1.

We will improve our working procedure and make sure this doesn't happen again.
