I can just agree with previous postings; a PPC version of Origin seem to be a
great idea! We're doing neurophysiological research with the Mac, and we often
lack a more scientific alternative to the most often used spreadsheet software
(Wingz and Excel) and the statistical programs (eg Statistica, Systat and/or
StatView). Origin seem to fill this gap!

Origin for the Mac - a sound investment

Among the groups I've seen in the biosciences at NIH and FDA, most are
using the Mac, and most have already purchased a Powermac. My network
gurus tell me 80-90% (of the 150 or so scientists in our area) use the
Mac exclusively. I'd suspect that holds true for the most part for the
rest of the 3000 scientists on campus. All of us struggle thru, trying
to plot data and standard deviations using the standard packages with
mixed success. If the product was converted (not a huge task) I'm sure
we would generate a fair amount of business thru the user groups. Give
it some thought!

ps - Nobody seems too thrilled about using SoftWindows for something that
should be a natural for the Mac platform!

Origin for Mac OS

I would like to add my voice to those calling for Origin for Mac OS.

I work at a large credit bank, and we would like to find an alternative to
Excel. We currently have over 800 Macintoshes in-house, and will continue to
use Macs as our standard end user machine and OS.

We have heard great things about Origin from those few folks around here who
have PC's. It's features seem to be superior to the current version of Excel.

Thanks!
