I have a problem with a pdf I obtained by exporting a graph. Although it displays correctly on my computer's screen, when I use a cups printer it cannot reproduce the fonts correctly. is it possible that the fonts are not recognized by the network printer and the pdf would use only local fonts and that is why I am able to see everything is ok on the screen? if so, how can I embed the fonts into the pdf?
(I use Origin 7.5 and 8 on a Windows XP machine together with Acrobat).
If anybody has a clue, I would try any suggestion.
Thanks.

Hi,

There is outline option for font in PDF export. There was a bug related to this which was fixed in SR4. So if you are using Origin 8, try the following:

1> Patch your Origin 8 to SR4 if you have not yet
2> In the graph export dialog, after selecting PDF as file type, expand the Image Settings->PDF Options->Font branch, and select the "Outline" radio and export your file

Does it work with this Outline setting?
When I create a PDF from Origin 8SR4 with some custom font on one machine and then use this Outline option and open the PDF on another machine taht does not have the font, it works fine, I can see the text properly.

(there may still be issue with embed option, will look into that...)
