Origin Ver.: 7.5
Operating System:XP

Hello,
I am trying to fit an equation to a set of data points (x,y) and trying to calculate unknown coefficients (a and b) in the equation. The equation contains two individual summation series for a and b(a1*x^1, a2*x^2, etc... and b1*x^1, b2*x^2, etc...). The equation resembles a polynomial function, but the degree depends on how well the equation fits to the data points. Is there a way to define summation in Origin in the NLM curve fitting edit function window (under definition)? I'd like to be able to write out the equation without having to go too much into programming.

Thanks!
