Origin Ver. : OriginPro 8 SR1 Operating System: Windows XP
When I try to plot a data set using a 3D color map, all I am able to see are the grey grid lines when I print it out. Is there a way to decrease the number of grid lines on my graph so it isn't so cluttered? I would like the graph to look the way it does when speed mode it turned on, as in not all grid lines appear. This is what i get when i export...
I would like to see more of the surface and less lines. Also, if I turn grid lines off the graph becomes unreadable, so that is not an option. Thanks. GS |

Hi GS,
Bring up Plot Details dialog and click on left tree to go to Graph level and on the right select Miscellaneous tab, then check the box "If speed mode is enabled for display, apply to graphic export as well"

thanks for the suggestion. unfortunately, when i enable speed mode there is too great data loss for my graph to be usable, and if i increase the number of data points per curve and dimension there are again too many grid lines. |

Hi,
Currently there is no control to skip gridlines, you could try turning off the x or y grid lines completely to see if that helps...we will look into providing control in a future version.

Hi:
We have implemented this feature in Origin 8.1. We added controls to skip grid lines in Plot Detail dialog.
Thanks Larry OriginLab Technical Services |
