Hello

I am using the latest Origin 8 release with a polynomial curve fitting task.
The help file warns that displayed coefficients are rounded off at 5 places with the underlying program operating with 8 places.
Where can I get the full precision coefficients without resorting to programming.

Thank you
H Flemming

Hi Fleming,

See: http://wiki.originlab.com/~originla/howto/index.php?title=QuickHelp:What_is_the_precision_of_results_from_analysis_operations

which is a Quick Help item that is available in your installation as well.

Also, one could right click on the parameters table and select Create Copy as New Sheet which will create a new sheet where the cells are actually linked to the table and thus will update if table changes. Then this new sheet could be separately formatted to desired precision, font, color etc...so such link-pasted cells can be used to create custom report sheets in the same book.
