I have produced the attached boxplot.

I was naively expecting Origin to plot the boxes have the same column headings on the same x location.
How would I do that?

Do you mean to overlap the box plots for the same x location as following? It seems not looking good?



If you really want such a graph, you can plot 2 box graphs first and then use "Merge Graph Windows" tool to mergae them into a 1*1 graph.

or you would like to plot them side by side like following?


If so, you would have to reorder your columns manually first.

Or you are meaning something else?

I think solution (1) is what I was looking for. Most of the time the boxes don't overlap, as the distributions tend to be centered far apart from each other.
