Hi!
Following the discussion about convolution and deconvolution I have
understood that Origin 4.1 and 5.0 include convol/deconvol of symmetric
response functions. But what about asymmetric response? At the moment
I have tried to work around the problem by manualy convoluting(which means
FFT-ing the zero-padded Dataset and the wrapped-around asymmetric Response of
length 2^N and doing the multiplication in frequency space manually
before IFFT-ing).
But this is incredibly slow with larger datasets(multiplying-loop).
So, does anyone know how to use Origins conv and deconv-Routines with
asymmetric
response-data? Any help would be appreciated.
Yours, Stefan.
P.S. How could the microcal-team think that experimentalists would only work
with symmetric response-functions(in fact most of them are not even if they
should be ;-) )!
