Origin Ver. 8 and Service Release 6 (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Windows XP

With Origin 7.5 I used statements like LT_set_var("nlsf.vn", 0) in
the FDF parameter init section (Origin C) to control NLSF which does
not work with Origin 8. What is the replacement in Origin 8?

Thank you for an answer!

Hi:

The NLFit tool in 80 changed a lot so some object may not work in the dialog. We will look for a solution. Sorry about that. As a work-around, you can type:

nlsf.control()

in command/script window to open the old nonlinear fitting dialog and fit from there.

Thanks
Larry

Hi Larry,

thank you for Help! I now "work around" with the old fitter dialog
but it is very slow with Origin 8. Why that?

Hi Kurt:

Would you mind sending us the FDF and a sample dataset to test?

Thanks
Larry
