the logistic function on Origin is in the form of:
y=A2-(A2-A1)/(1+(x/x0)^p)

However, the equation:
y=A1+(A2-A1)/(1+(x0/x)^p)

is what I am more familiar with (a variant of the Hill equation) but it is not in the origin suite (I have tried to input it to compare but thus far without success). My question is are these two equations eqivalent?

Thanks.

I think I solved this myself. The algebra is rather complex and I have not figured it out myself yet but I fit the second equation to the same data set and obtained identical parameters.

Thus, the logistic equation in the Origin Suite is a very useful variant of the Hill equation with non-zero A1 values.

Does anyone at Origin have a comment on this? I would love to have an algebraic proof that these two equations are equivalent.
