When I try to open some of my older Origin files (4.0, I think), thousands of
little note windows open and cascade accross the screen. They are labelled
note 1,
note2, ... , note 112, and so on. This locks up the system and origin 5.0
stops responding. I can, however, still open the files without problems using
the old Origin 4.1. Has anyone else had this problem, and what is going on.
It is a real nuisance having to have 2 versions of origin installed on my
hard drive.

I have seen the same thing happen on several occasions, after doing quite a bit of data processing with large datasets. I have not been able to identify the source of the problem, but my best guess is that there is a memory pointer that has gotten lost in the system.
