Origin 8 Pro on Windows

Good tidings Origin users.

I have a simple problem - I want to fit some data points:

The equation:

y=y0 exp (Ax)

(where y0 is the value of y at x=0) and A is an unknown constant. (exp is exponential)

I have plotted y vs x and then I changed the scale on my y axis to log scale.

So the fitted line would appear straight. I need to find the gradient of this line and the value y0

Sorry if this is too simple. Hope you can help.

Osho

Hi Osho,
After the fitted line becomes straight, please active the graph, and choose Analysis>>Fitting>>Linear Fit to open the dialog, make sure Apparent Fit checkbox is checked. Click OK button. In the result, Intercept is y0, and Slope is the gradient.

Best regards
Yours sincerely
Alex
