Origin 8.1.

Hello,

how is it possible to extract a part of string. I choose the string this way:

Worksheet wks = Project.ActiveLayer();
string str;
wks.GetCell(0, 0, str);

In the specefied cell is for example "xy13,5".
Now I just want to save a part of it like "13,5" to another string.

Hope you can help me.

If you know the number of preceedng characters (i.e. 2 in the example you provided) you can do something like ....

string strExtract=str.Mid(2);

Hi Chris,

there are various Methods to manipulate a string.
Just look it up in: Help -> Programming -> OriginC

There you will find in:
OriginC Reference -> Classes -> Composite Datatypes -> String

all Methods you need for operations like that.
