sir/ mam,
in my plot data in X axies as 1,2,3 and so on upto 30 having Y axies values as .026, .046, .076 and so on respectively in Theoratical basis which to be plotted in Line + Symbol.
But in Experiment, the vaues of X axis is not in Integer But as like 1.23, 1.89, 2.56 and having Y axies values of various samples with individual error bars.
for example
X Axies sample Y axies Error
21.45 Nd 0.005 0.03
13.23 Sm 0.012 0.09
20.42 Sm 0.016 0.07
23.74 Sm 0.079 0.09
10.85 Gd 0.045 0.09
11.05 Gd 0.015 0.06
13.86 Gd 0.0116 0.08
21.47 Gd 0.019 0.78
and So on of various samples of various observation .
Tell me how we can plot the various point in scattered form with error bars with different symbols of the samples .
send me the plot of the same.
also tell me procedure.

Hi katoch vikas,
Do you want to plot a scatter graph with different symbols for different samples, like the following image shows?
If yes, you can follow the steps to create one:
1. Highlight "Y axies" column and "Error" columns, select Plot: Symbol: Y Error from the main menu to plot a Scatter+Y Errorbar graph.
2. Double click on the graph to open the Plot Details dialog. On the Symbol tab, select Show Construction checkbox. Select Geometric radio button. Select "sample" column from the Shape drop down list. Click OK button to see the symbol shape change according to sample column.

thanks for your reply.
But my problem is differ one because by sending data by origin form change in shape after post reply (saving).
I have aleady send this problem by PDF to origin lab.
Please give me Email Id For the solution.
Because first two lines gives a curve and samples from Nd to Gd gives scattered points within the graph.
