Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Origin Version 6, Windows Vista Operating system

Hi,

I am trying to fit the following formula using Nonlinear curve fit function:

y = A*K*x*exp(-b*(y/A))/1 + K*x*exp(-b*(y/A))

The parameters I have values for are only x and y, all other values need to float and be determined from the curve fit.

Each time I try to fit this equation I get a message stating my fitting function is not generating value or error 28037. Additionally when I go to enter in starting values to fit my equation, a black line through my points appears, but does not have any of the parameters associated with it.

This equation has worked previously using the same software and operating system, however after my hard-drive crashed and origin was re-installed this equation no longer fits.

Thank you for any help,

Tracey

Hi:

Origin doesn't support fitting implicit functions. That is, the dependent variable, y, can only on the left side of "=".

Thanks
Larry

You may try a software named 1stOpt or Auto2Fit, they support implicit function fit prefectly.
