Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.1.13.88 (8.1 SR1)
Operating System: Win XP SP3

We're concidering upgrading our system to Win7 based PC with 16GB of RAM to faster handle the amount of data we're dealing with.
Will the software support using this amount of ram?

Hi:

The maximum dataset size (for example, the maximum rows of a column) in Origin is about 10 ~ 20 million. It't not related to system RAM too much. Of course, a PC with 16 GB of RAM will run faster.

Thanks
Larry

10-20 million of what? GB? bites? fields?
We're dealing with recordings of 2GB per column and would like to open several of those in parallel.
