Origin Pro 8 SR0, Operating System: Windows XP.

Hello,

I want to extract data from the worksheet columns to a text file. The simplest would be just copy-paste. The problem is that the column shows values with exponents (e.g. 1.0017009E7), while I need 10017009. I tried changing the data format in column/properties/display/ but this does not help (both with decimal, scientific and engineering format, the data are still with the exponents). Could you please tell what is a simple solution for this problem?

Thank you!

Hello,

Sure, go to Tools: Options from the main menu, and select the Numeric Format tab in that dialog. Increase the "Upper Threshold Power" from 6 to say 10 or 12; that way the scientific notation won't kick in until 1E10 or 1E12 (now it starts at 1E6).

Regards,
