Origin Ver. and Service Release: Origin 8 SR6 Operating System: Win XP
Hi,
I want to reimport data to a workbook. I import data from files with user defined format. In the first line of the files stand the channel numbers. The next lines contain the measured values for each channel in a timestep of a few seconds. The values are seperated by 'space'.
When I import the data once, the measuring is not allways finished, so that I want to reimport data from files again, when measuring went on, and files grew.
I found a function in Labtalk, which can manage this: http://wiki.originlab.com/~originla/wiki/index.php?title=LabTalk:Data_Import#Using_Reimport_to_Bring_back_all_Data But it doesnt work for my business. It says: "Reimport is not supported for this file format."
And what is more, I didnt find something dealing with reimport in OriginC. Can anybody help?

Hi TreeNode,
Currently, Origin does NOT support the reimporting files with user defined format in Origin C. The reimporting files feature now can only be used for the built-in import X-Functions, such as impASC, impBin2d, etc. We will try to make this available in future. Thanks for pointing it out.

Hi TreeNode,
The reimporting files with user defined format is now available in the in-house build. If you are interested in it, you can have a try when the new version (8.5.1, coming soon) is released. And here is the example on how to use this feature.
