Response to Graphs of Dynamic Functions
Randy J,
In order to plot such a function in Origin you would indeed have to generate the data first before plotting. This has to do with the fact that Origin cannot handle recursive functions directly. However, In order to make the process faster, you could use Origin's LabTalk scripting language to automate one, many, or all parts of this process.
If you are interested in learning more about using LabTalk or are developing a script for this purpose and need some pointers, feel free to contact me at Technical Support. Due to the fact that some browsers don't support a subject heading in email links, I have decided to omit mine. Since this is the case, please be sure to put the email to my attention since I am the one who responded to your Forum post.
Sincerely,
Ryan Toomey
Technical Support Engineer
