Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Origin 7.0
Operating System:Windows XP

I noticed that all the plot Origin created have default frame of square.
Can I make a plot with a non-equal length of X and Y axes?

I know I can drag the frame and make it not square, but what I want is have the x and y axes with same length scale but shorter Y axis length.

Hi ys,

Please try the following:

1) Choose menu "Format:Layer Properties" to open the Plot Details dialog (at the layer selected in the left panel of the dialog).
2) Choose "Size/Speed" tab, and choose "Inch" (or cm etc.) for Unit option.
3) Enter Width and Height values you want for the layer frame dimensions.

Hope I didn't misunderstand what you wanted to achieve.
