Origin Ver. 81 and SR2
Operating System: Windows XP

Hi,

i've create graphs with hundreds of data ranges using OC. It works fine.
I can even save to project without problems. When I open the OPJ file, Origin crashes immediately. When I open the file which I've created with Origin 8.1 using Origin 8.5.1 no crash happens.

I've found out that the number of DataPlots per Layer is around 300. Below this threshold, no crash occurs using Origin 8.1. Above this limit -- even before saving -- just double-clicking on a data point causes Origin to crash.

Is there any limit known?

/ Michael

Hi Michael,

In-house testing shows that the number of data plots per layer can be up to 45900. So, maybe the problem is related to the specific opj. You can send the opj, together with the related OC file, to OriginLab Technical Support, and tell the detail steps on how to reproduce it. And then we can have a try to see whether can reproduce the problem. Please refer to this post in your email.
