Origin Ver. 7 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: winXP
Hi, I need to make nonlinear curve fitting using erf function on a matrix data,
my first question does origin 7 has ready to use erf function and where to find it, I did not find it in non-linear fitting tool
second question is if matrix fitting is possible?

Hi Joanna,

Origin version 7 doesn't have a feature of fitting directly to a matrix. However, the current OriginPro 8.5.1 is capable to do it.

Hi Fujii,
7 is version used by university(cardiff uni) and i have to use it
what about erf function?

Hi Joanna,

erf(x) doesn't have any parameter, but you can use it(at least I have checked in ver. 8.5.1) in the definition of your user-defined function,
  e.g., y=A*erf(x-x0)+y0
