Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5.1 SR2
Operating System: Virtual windows xp with VMware fusion 4.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.8

Normally, all my origin projects are saved in MAC OS, I just use them in my virtual windows through "shared folder". It works well before, however, recently I cannot open the origin projects saved from my window virtual machine. It just pop up "File *** is not an origin project. If it is a data file, please choose one of the import options".

I found that if I set up a new project in windows and saved it in MAC OS. I cannot open it especially when the project is larger than 2 MB. However, it can be opened if I save it within the virtual windows (like desktop of windows). It looks there is some problem for the data transfer between virtual windows and MAC OS.

I just recall that this problem arises only after I upgrade my virtual machine (VMware Fusion) from version 3 to version 4. Is it due to this?

I don't know whether other people face the same problem as well. Anyone can help me figure this issue out? Thanks in advance.
