Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:

Good afternoon,

Sorry, I am new to this forum as well as a new user for Origin Pro 8. I have created a 3D graphical plot using the matrix command. The first problem I have is, there is a 'scan mode on' label across the 3D plot and despite checking the scan mode setting to be on the 'off mode' this still remains on screen. I have experienced another problem, if you try and copy the 3D plot and paste into a word Document, the graph changes and shows excess lines/ grids (much messier plot). The only way around without messing up the 3D plot is by 'print screen' page, paste into word and crop! (not ideal as you lose the origin hyperlink) This is the only way where the plot does not have excess lines but will still have the scan mode on label.

We never experienced these problems when using Origin 6 version.
Sorry if this does not make sense, I am not a technical expert, however I am willing to send the file as example.

Further information to the previous enquiry i had made regarding the 'scan speed mode on' watermark on my 3D plot. I have managed to find instructions to remove this watermark by the following steps:

TOOL tab: OPTIONS
Select GRAPH tab on window

And untick the: Speed mode show watermark.
Press: RESTORE, then OK.

Now the only problem i have, is when the graph is being copied over to a word document and the plot being swamped with excess lines and grids (note this only happens within origin when you vary scan speeds??!!)

Would really appreciate if anyone knew how i can copy over my origin 3D graph without the scan speeds varying and messing up the plot.

P.S. tried changing vectors, rasters, none etc that just opens another can of worms.

This problem is not experienced in Origin 6 which now comes across more user friendly.

Hi,

You meant the Speed Mode, right? Origin's Speed Mode is used to increase the redraw speed of the graph layer by skipping some data points. When you print, copy and paste, or export a graph, whose Speed Mode is on, the original graph will be used, but not the one with Speed Mode on.

So, I am afraid that you have turned on the Speed Mode (because some points are skipped, some lines/grids are not shown), and then copy and paste the graph to Word, then the original graph will be pasted, which will show all the data points (maybe these are the excess lines/grids you mentioned). For more details about Speed Mode, please refer to this page.

If your problem is not this case, could you please show some pictures?
