Also is there any way to calculate the slope of the first straight part of the curve to calculate Young's modulus

Don't know which version of Origin you're running but if it is a recent one, you can easily get what you need with gadgets: - area with the integrate gadget - slop with the quick linear fit gadget |

Hi mohamed1986,
Sorry, but these two gadgets are available in Origin 8.1, or later.
You need to use the regular/traditional Integrate and Linear Line Fitting tools.

Hi,
You have access to these gadgets in 8.1, see this comparison table to see what Gadgets you have in your version: http://originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin&PID=1029#Gadgets#
You can watch this video tutorial to see how to use the Quick Fit Gadget: http://originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Support&pid=1697
All gadgets work the same way - you get to select a particular region of your data and then the analysis (fitting, integration, peak detection....) is performed on that selected region. So with your data, to compute slope, you probably want to position the rectangle to leave out the beginning and end parts of your data.
