Origin Ver.: 8.6.0G
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with saving my workbook. I use the "save -i" command to save a workbook and everytime Origin crashes.
If I save the same workbook over the gui, it works without crashing.

Unbelievable!!

Maybe someone can help!
Greetz

p.s.: I tried to add the "sec -p 1;" command before saving, because this is the solution to many Origin crashes. But here it doesn't help

The only difference here is that the GUI checks and confirms the file path and name. So what is the syntax of your script? What is the path and filename you pass?

Hi greg,

thank you for your fast reply! Well the weird thing is, that the workbook is saved correctly (I just realised that). So Origin seems to crash after saving or at the very ending of the saving process.

This is my code:

string fname$="%(tr$)_%(date$)";
save -i %Y01_Technology_Testing\%(tr1$)\%(fname$);

The same command worked before and I didn't change my script.

Thank you!
Sebbey

Is it maybe possible to take a look at the error file?

Hi all,

when I left work yesterday, Origin crashed while saving.

Today I started my computer, ran my Origin script and everything worked perfectly.

I have no idea why!?
