Hi,

I am using originpro 9, and attempting to make a polar coordinate contour plot. I have a very large matrix of numbers as a function of angle vertically, and r horizontally.

As far as I can tell from the tutorial and attempting to work through it myself, Origin will let me select a row as the x(or y)-axis for an x-y contour plot, but not allow me to make use of the rows as the r or theta axis for a polar contour plot. Is this correct?

My matrices are huge, and I really can't see any way to reformat them into the format used in the tutorial files.

Thanks for any help

Looks like Origin currently does not support r-theta Z matrix, only XY. We can improve this in the next version (ORG-8549).

For you, you need to convert the matrix into XYZ data, then plot from XYZ data to map to r(X)theta(Y) or theta(X)r(Y)
