Origin Ver. 7 and Service Release 0 (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Win 7

Sorry for posting this question in the wrong section. Here is it again at the right place:

I use an external dll to retrieve values for a fitting function.
This works in principle, but when i want to make changes to the external dll
i have to quit origin, compile the dll again and restart origin again.
If i don't restart origin, the dll is still write protected so the external compiler
cannot update it. This is really annoying.
Is there a solution to this obvious origin bug?

Say, c:\FitFunc.dll is not a resource-only dll, then you might execute the following LabTalk script to unload it:
dll -rc c:\FitFunc.dll

Not sure if it works in such an old version as 7...
