We don't provide any library, dll, OLE or Active-X which would give Visual Basic access to Origin.

With Origin Standard you can access a Visual Basic program using Origin as a client in a DDE conversation (See LabTalk™ DDE command). In this scheme, you might create a timed procedure that would poll your VB application at intervals waiting for 'instructions' for your timed procedure to process. These instructions might be a metalanguage that your timed procedure would interpret as canned LabTalk™ procedures.

With Origin Professional you can use Origin as a DDE Server and send LabTalk™ commands directly to Origin through a DDE channel. The DDETest project in the Visual Basic folders of the Origin Professional package illustrate this method.
