Origin Ver. 9 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2

Operating System: Windows 8

Dear all
When I plot a new graph or open any previous file (from another computer that operates perfectly fine on windows 7 and Origin 9) with a graph in it , the Major and Minor ticks do not appear at all (even if they are listed in the properties dialog box).

Is there a bug when using Windows 8 ?

Ticks missing could be a licensing issue, please contact your distributor or submit a report to tech support.

I checked with the licence and it looks fine !
Some other computers with Win 8 have the same problem. Looks like its a bug ! Is there a fix ?

I am not sure how you could say your license "looks fine"...
Make sure you have run Origin once as an Administrator:
Right click on the icon to launch Origin and choose "Run as administrator".
