I have a data in an excel file which is geochemical data for a sedimentary sequence. I want to plot this on a bivariate plot indicating the data for each lithological unit as a different symbol/colour. I have 18 units in total which have between 4 and 34 data points in each unit. How to I index these in order to plot them as separate units? (the excel file is 228 data points under one heading ie Iron or Magnesium (which includes all the individual units )do I need to re do these in excel as individual units and upload them separately to the plot?

You are not using Origin terminology so it's difficult to understand exactly what you have. Best would be to contact your dealer or send the file to tech@originlab.com.
