I am trying to use origin 7.0 to do linear fit on some data, but I want to consider the error bar for each data in my fitting. Origin does allow me to use the error bars as weight(1/error^2), or Reduced Chi^2 . But I am wondering if anyone knows how these two functions are implemented, any reference? I need to put it in my paper.
