is it possible to fit a "gaussian" with different widths for left and right halves?

Hello,

You can do this by defining a new fitting function. If you have Origin ver 7SR2, tutorial 7 shows how to define and fit with an asymmetric gaussian function using Origin C. If you have prior versions, you can define the function using LabTalk script.
