I sometimes get an odd extra line in scatter plot. It only appears when I plot both x and y (if I let Origin generate the x axis, it doesn't show up). It goes from the first data point to one near the middle, and changes if I use line, horizontal step, or vertical step. Any idea where it may be coming from, and how to get rid of it?

Can you double click your data to see if there were redundant points?
Or would you mind sending us the opj (to <tech@originlab.com>) so we can take a look?

There aren't any redundant points as far as I can tell - the data plot just fine in excel (I wanted to double check) I'll email the data.

Hi,

I wonder if the data is sorted by X values monotonically, or not. It should be.

My problem was numbers in the header that I had missed when the data was pulled from the equipment. Delete the header, problem solved.
