Greetings,

I'm new to origin and learning the basics as a requirement for my undergraduate thesis. I was performing integration of a peak of a DSC curve through peak analyzer and I wanted to know the difference between Peak area, Percentage Peak area and curve area.

Note. There is only one peak in the graph and it is the melting point peak in the DSC curve

Hi, Sai Rama

I am not quite sure what is the definition of the Peak Area and Curve Area in your post. Could you let me know where did you see them?

However, in Peak Analyzer, we have two areas as output

1. Fitted Peak Area Contained in Fitting Range --- This is got from the fitting curve

2. Peak Area by Integrating Data --- This is got from your data.

You can also look at the detailed explanation from the page below
