Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro2016
Operating System:Windows10

I have a dataset that ranges from 7 to 13,540. I want to create a simple bar graph on a log10 scale, but my y-axis seems to be limited to 5 major ticks (from 1 to 10,000) which does not show my values over 10,000. Any suggestions?

Hi WagMore,

You can try this in the Axis Dialog for your Y Axis:
1) In the Scale Tab, set the To value to 13540.
2) In the Special Ticks tab, change the Axis End setting from Auto to Show.
3) Click Apply to see the change in your graph.

If the tick at 10000 is in the way, in the Special Ticks tab you can enter a special tick at 10000 and uncheck the Show check box to hide the tick at 10000.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Chris Drozdowski

Hey Chris,
Thanks so much! That worked great, and by using the 'details' button i was able to select a different font size and color for my special tick label. Ha!
Thanks again!
