Origin 2016 64it b9.3.226 Demo
Operating System: win7 sp1 ultimate 64bit

Hello, everyone.

If the report table worksheet resulted from fitting work is locked by using "layer" command, report tables in the sheet will disappear after next recalculation (e.g. fitting data changed). Message of "ERR0015082" will return. Report tables will not restore forever, even if the sheet is unlocked by using "layer" command again. The only way is to rebuilt a new report table sheet. That means fitting curve sheet is to be rebuilt at the same time. That means all the graphs containing this fitting curve need to be updated and all the adjustment work for the fitting curves (e.g. amplification, shrink, especially in inset-graph) need to be done again too. For me and someone else, it is too inconvenient, especially we have too many graphs like that.

Anyone has met this?

Hua

Hi Hua,

We run the protection script for the report sheet, right?
About protection:
http://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/guide/Protecting_Project_Data#Layer_and_Page_Protection_Flags

So when you do recalculation, it will display error.

When the sheet is protected, and you want to do recalculation for it, please remove all protections firstly.
To remove the protection, please run the following script in the Script Window (Window: Script Window):
lay -lw 0;

And then do recalculation on the report sheet.

Thanks
Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline,

Thank you for your answer.

But, in my eyes, good soft should remind user of misoperation rather than erase the results that already exist. And then, soft should give the user a chance to revise his misoperation. But in my practice, Origin worked abnormally if I locked the fitting results sheet and recalculate the fitting.

Is that a bug?

Thanks
Junhua
