OriginPro 2016(student version). and Service Release:2
Operating System:Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

Hello

I just installed OriginPro and am following the tutorial 1.2 Graph Templates and Batch plotting. I've tried dragging three .dat files from the samples/Import and Export folder but they are unable to be opened this way. Also I've tried to import them individually into workbooks, they open fine but then the workbook is empty.

I would appreciate any help with this as I will be needing it for my future research,

Many thanks

Hi,

When you use drag and drop function, please make sure Origin is not running as Administrator. When it does, drag and drop operation is not allowed.

The way to drag files is by when you have selected all three files, keep mouse click pressed, drag the files on the way into Origin workspace. Then the dat files will be automatically imported into separated books. I have tested again by myself, it works as expected.

If you have further problem, please proceed to ask more questions.

Regards!

Sean
