I want to add a complex fit line (hyperbolic tangent) to my data. The equation is: y=A+B[1+tanh((Log10(x)-C-Q*1*10^6)/D)]. I have the plotted x and y data. I want OriginPro to find A,B,C,D fitting parameters based on my data. In this way, I can solve for Q.
I have OriginPro 2016 software

hello,

You can call the tanh function to construct a user defined fitting function
follow the tutorial

http://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/UserDef-FitFunc
http://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/ref/Tanh-func

There are 4 parameters in this function, fitting could not converge due to mutual dependency exists between parameters, you need to set the initial values carefully.

Best regards!
Jason
