Dear Sir/Mam,
I am trying for a non linear curve fitting using a equation for which I got following values related to the fittings:

1. reduced chi-square value: 1.26E-4
2. Adj R2 value: 0.9801

I want to know whether the curve is acceptable.

Hi Saurabh,

That depends entirely on the criteria which you are setting for the problem, however that being said, having a reduced chi-square value that small and an R2 value that close to 1 generally indicate the model was a good fit.

Again this depends how precise you'd like that fit to be, so I can only recommend reading some background literature if you are trying to establish the criteria for it yourself.
