Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Origin Pro 8.6

Hello,
I performed a multi-peak fit including a background with Origin Pro 8.6. Actually, the fitting works fine, but the fits are displayed strange at the right side of the image:

Is there any way to display the fits in a better quality?

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

It is because the number of points used to plot the fitted curve may be fewer than the number of original X data points. There is a control that allows you to use the same number of points for the fitted curve.

Depending on whether you are using the Multiple Peak Fit tool or the Peak Analyzer, it will be in two different places. Click on the green lock icon associated with your fitting and choose Change Parameters. Find the control entitled "X Data Type" and set it to "Same as Input Data". Here is the location of the control for each method:

Multiple Peak Fit: NLFit dialog->Settings Tab, Fitted Curves->Fitted Curves Plot-> X Data Type.
Peak Analyzer: Fit Peaks page->Result->Configure Graph->Fitted Curves Plot->X Data Type.

Or look at the location in the image below.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
