Hi,

Does somebody know how to 'tick' those boxes in plot setup faster, at once? I have several hundreds Y column to select thus it takes long time if I select one by one. Thanks

Hi Norshah-

With several hundred columns it may still take some time but there are two ways this process could be expedited.

First-
If you're plotting all of these 100s of columns, I would simply recommend clicking on the blank box in the upper left hand corner of the worksheet to select all of them, and then going to the Plot menu and choosing the graph type of your choice. When the entire worksheet is selected and you go to plot it, Origin will automatically place these Y columns over the values in the X column.

If you still want to go through Plot Setup, another option would be to right click on the Y column in that dialog and select either Auto Designation (all Y columns selected as Y's, all X as X), or if you want a portion of this data you can select "Set All to Top" or "Set All to Bottom" and all rows above or below that one will be selected.

As far as selecting specific columns in a range of hundreds, I would recommend plotting worksheet selections rather than Plot Setup. One way you could do this is by creating a duplicate worksheet and then following this documentation-

If you'd like to provide more information about your data, whether or not it is alternating or all columns, I'd be glad to provide more information. Hope this helps!
