In Tools:Baseline, the positive peak algorithm gives me excellent results. Unfortunately there isnt any further information available (such as how does it work). Does anyone know? I would like to create some script using the technique for my application. Thanks all...

Hi,

Baseline.ogs contains the scripts for the Baseline tool and is a good place to start.

Thanks for the advice, I have had a look in the OGS file, but this doesnt really help as the code doesnt refer to the maths as far as my limited knowledge can tell.

Hi,

The baseline.ogs file in turn uses the curve object in LabTalk to perform peak detection.

Look under the LabTalk documentation for the curve object, specifically the curve.pickPeaks() method. This peak search depends on the following property settings: curve.pickPeaks.simple, curve.maxPeakRange, curve.minHeight, curve.minPeakRange, curve.pickPeaks.minHeight, curve.pickPeaks.rectHeight, curve.pickPeaks.rectWidth.

What each property means is documented as well in the LabTalk help files.

Hope this helps.
