Hello together,
when I have an origin file open (file attached) and right click the document and click copy page and got to a word document and right click and paste then I see a cropped upper left part of the image scaled up to the expected size
A similar result is visible when exporting to PDF or eps (pdf output attached)
Export to bitmap (bmp, png) yields the correct output (png output attached)
Since The origin 2017 is freshly installed and the document is a just created virgin document, it doesn't seem to be a configuration issue.
I formely had installed Origin 2015 (already removed) and origin 2016 (still installed) on this system. C:/Program Files/gs/gs9.20 and C:\Program Files (x86)\gs\gs8.64 indicate that I have two concurring ghostscript versions on this system. I installed the https://sourceforge.net/projects/uniconvertor/ and am unsure if that interacts with origin's export behavior.
I use Origin 2017 b9.4.0.220 64bit on Windows 10 64bit
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
I tried to copy your graph and paste to a Word file and the result looks fine. Please look at the image below.
But we met a similar cropping problem before when the user tried to send a power point from the remote desktop but the DPI is quite different between local and remote OS.
If you are in the same situation, could you set DPI the same for two computers?
However, if you met the problem on your local PC, could you provide us more information as below to trouble shoot the problem?
1. What’s the DPI of your PC? 2. Open the Options dialog (Selecting "Tools: Options"), go to Page tab, capture a screenshot and paste it here.
Thanks, Amanda OriginLab Technical Service

Hi Amanda,
no, I'm not using it over RDP, but natively instead.
In betweeen, we've been installing updates (switching from 2016 to 2017 if I remember correctly) and the behavior changed: it's no longer too small but too large instead. Yet I am not sure if it relates to any other (unconscious) change in configuration. Please see this pdf and doc for how it looks now:
http://www.originlab.com/ftp/forum_and_kbase/Images/cropped%20doc2.pdf http://www.originlab.com/ftp/forum_and_kbase/Images/cropped%20doc2.doc
The hint with the DPI seems to go somewhere: I am using an X1 Carbon which has 2560x1440 at 13" screen. This is why my per-display scaling is set to 200% so that UI has a usable size. Turning it to 100% lets it look correct when doing copy-page and pasting it into word, yet leaves all applications' UI hardly usable.
I also tried Origin 2016 again which shows similar behavior to 2017.
What I tried to overcome this: - set EMS=0 in the variables - playing with Format:Layer, Display, Scale Elements - playing with Format:Page, Misc, Performance - playing with Tools:Options, Page, Copy Page Settings (Current state appended as screenshot)
The only measurement changing the behavior stays changing the display-scale.
Can you give me further advise? Thank you!

Hi,
Please try
1. Change “Margin Control” on Tools: Options – Page tab to “Tight”. 2. Run Origin 2017 as administrator. Copy paste graph to word. See if the problem is fixed.
Thanks, Amanda OriginLab Technical Service

Hi,
Please try to sign out or restart the computer to see if the problem persists.
Thanks, Shirley
