Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2016 sr1
Operating System: windows 10 x64

I would like to be able to import complex data type from National Instrument TDMS files into Origin. Import does not load this type of data at the moment.

Hi fjhnsn,

Would you tell me which version of NI DIAdem had been used to create the complex data that you want to import into Origin?

Could you send us a simple sample data to let us check further, via tech@originlab.com?

Thanks,
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

The TDMS files are created with LabVIEW v. 2016. The real value channels are imported fine. The complex values are ignored.

I've sent the sample file to the address provided.

Yes, thanks for the sending. I had already checked the sample data, and replied you with some questions. You don't receive it?

Anyway, we had used the tool "NI DIAdem" open your TDMS file, but there is no any value in Complex column(see the screenshot below).
Is this correct?
Which tool has been used to open this file there?

Thanks,
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

I downloaded and installed Diadem. It is indeed have trouble recognizing complex data type. I'll ask NI what's up with that.

Here're some screenshots with the content of the file as viewed via LabVIEW "TDMS File Viewer" library function:

TDMS File Viewer reports complex data type as 13:

while double precision floating type as 10:
